When a panicked client contacted Flatpack Wezard with a strict design code and a looming move-in deadline, we knew we had to step up. The UK was experiencing an intense summer heatwave, making daytime working conditions brutal. To make matters more challenging, the ceiling height was 2.38cm and the units were the taller 2.36cm pax frames, leaving only a tiny amount of clearance from the ceiling in an exceptionally tight room.
To beat the soaring temperatures and handle the precise, millimeter-perfect construction safely, our team pivoted and worked straight through the night. Navigating the cramped space in the stifling heat required absolute focus, especially when maneuvering the heavy frame into a standing position with virtually zero ceiling clearance.
We didn’t just build the outer structure; we meticulously integrated the custom internal lighting system to meet the design specification perfectly. Thanks to the overnight push, the entire setup was fully built, wired, and safely anchored before morning. The client was able to move into their new home exactly on schedule with their dream storage ready to go.
